The observable universe

An xkcd comic showing the entire observable universe drawn on a logarithmic scale. I laughed at the reference to Ford Prefect, which I’m pretty sure makes me a loser.

It was one of the many references I didn’t get, which I suppose makes me a well-rounded individual and not a geek in any sense. (I’m certainly well-rounded.) I’m still in awe of the cartoon though and have already ordered the poster for my friend Steve who’s a physics and astronomy teacher.

XKCD is surely the best cartoon out there by a parsec.

@Mark: Ooh, a poster. That might have to get bought.
